Trouble Down Under

Kat Crowe’s adventures in Trouble Down Under is my take on a supernatural cozy mystery set in my home country, with a gal from Arkansas making the big move ‘Down Under’ where her Great Aunt Tabitha lived most of her life. The introductory story is set in California though, and sets up the sequence of events that lead Kat to the other side of the world. A Flytrap Fiasco is free in all good bookstores, and an Unforeseen Demise is over on Amazon and in the Kindle Unlimited program (for now).

Hey guys, I’m Kat Crowe, and I wanna tell you about the time I spent in California which ended abruptly when someone was murdered in my store.

Maybe moving out west from Arkansas wasn’t the best move. But before everything went south, I had a lot of fun tending my magical plants and catching some waves in my spare time. I never imagined things could go so wrong. Or that I’d find myself caught up in a mystery where everyone was a suspect.

Now I don’t think of myself as an amateur sleuth, but there was no getting around the fact that I had skin in the game. So it was up to me to crack the case, or my life would be left in ruins. I’d love to tell y’all who did it… but you’ll have to read the book to find out!

When my Great Aunt Tabby passed away, it wasn’t just a shock. As a seer, she should have seen it coming.

Except she didn’t. So as the newly single and unemployed member of the Crowe family, it was up to me to head to Australia to see to her affairs. Partly to keep the magical family relics from falling into the wrong hands, and also to quiet the bad feeling working its way around my belly.

But trying to piece together the life of a woman who I only ever saw at Christmas was harder than I’d expected. And when I figured out there was mystery afoot, all of my aunt’s friends became suspects in my mind’s eye.

A world away from home, I’d need to figure out where my life was leading, and whether I’d let the future happen to me, or take control of my own fortunes. Oh, and solve the mystery of course!
